Yaesu M-70D Desktop mic

The new M-70D microphone utilises a directional condenser microphone
element which has a specially tuned frequency response for clear and
crisp transmit audio. The PTT switch has three air-cylinder tubes which
provide comfortable long-term PTT tx/rx operation. A PTT lock button
is located behind the PTT switch. A low-cut filter shapes the M-70's
low frequency response (cut-off @ 340Hz, -6dB/octave). An "on/off"
mic operation switch is located on the underside of the microphone.

that is finely tuned to deliver rich low and mid frequency response
for clear and concise conversation. Using a windscreen cover and a directional microphone element design, the M-90D concentrates the
voice input from the front while reducing ambient noise from the rear.
A built-in low-cut filter creates clear and crisp audio characteristics
by shaping low frequency response (cut-off @ 340Hz, -6dB/octave).
An isolation transformer integrated into the circuit board enhances the
audio quality. The M90D (and M90MS) is compatible with all Yaesu HF transceivers equipped with the round 8-pin microphone socket or the
8-pin modular connector. An isolation transformer is on the PCB to
enhance the audio quality. A simple one-touch keylock button is
located directly above the PTT key for those long rag chews...

design desktop mic, incorporating a high-quality Condenser and
Dynamic microphone elements. The Condenser element provides
wide overall frequency response - with crisp and clear audio
characteristics - while the Dynamic element enhances low and
mid-range frequency response. A set of one-touch buttons
enables one, or both, mic elements to be selected. Low cut and
high cut filters are built-in. Treble Boost Cowling is supplied.
The M-100 features adjustable height/angle and includes an

The M-100 can be used with current model Yaesu HF radios immediately.
The following Yaesu transceivers work with the M100 without requiring
the optional M-100PSK power supply kit; FT-450D, FT-817/ND, FT-847,

FT-1000MP, FT-1000MP/Mk.V, FTDX-1200, FT-2000/D,
FTDX-3000D, FTDX-5000 series and FTDX-9000 series

The following radios require the optional M-100PSK "Power Supply Kit";
FT-747, FT-840, FT-850, FT-990 and FT-1000 for M-100 operation.
 The M100PSK power supply kit is ONLY for use with M-70D, M-90D
& M-100 microphones. The M-100PSK is not needed for the M-1.

FNB-101LI, FNB-102Li and
SBR-14Li charging notes...

The Yaesu FNB-101Li battery pack requires about 5 hours of charging time when charging with an AC slow charger. However, the required charging time is only about 2.5 hours
when charging with an AC slow charger and the optional CD-41
 drop-in type rapid charger!

The Yaesu FNB-102Li battery pack requires about 8 hours of charging time when charging with an AC slow charger. However, the required charging time is only about 4 hours when charging with an AC slow charger and the optional CD-41
drop-in type rapid charger!

The Yaesu SBR-14Li battery pack requires about 9 hours of charging time when charging with an AC slow charger. However, the required charging time is only about 5 hours when charging with an AC slow charger and the optional CD-41
drop-in type rapid charger!

The Yaesu SBR-14Li Li-ion battery pack replaces the FNB-102Li.
The SBR-14Li is rated at 2200mA/h
@ 7.2V and suits Yaesu FT1DR,

YAESU ATAS-120A

AUTOMATIC
Antenna Tuning System

The ATAS-120A is a motor-driven mobile type vertical antenna. It has a continuously tunable frequency range of 7MHz~450Mz (40m to 70cm) and is fully remote controllable by FT-897/D, FT-857/D, FT-100/D and FT-847  transceivers. These transceivers will automatically tune an ATAS-120A to the point of lowest detected swr by driving its internal motor, which adjusts the antenna's length, thereby  changing its resonant frequency. Maximum antenna length is 1.6m. Spare/replacement stainless steel whips are subject to availability.

Please note that this antenna has an integrated PL-259 plug. This plug is also very well known as a UHF plug
(in commercial radio) and as M-P,
i.e. M-type plug (in Asian countries).
It will screw into an SO-239 socket.
Many amateurs buy an SO-239 side-entry socket, RG-58 coax & PL-259 plug assembly - or just a side-entry SO-239 socket - from us as the first step in installing an ATAS-120A.

Almost ALL mobile VHF/UHF amateur radio antennas have a PL-259 integrated into their base section! These antennas require an SO-239 socket to plug into for operation!
Recently, we found some new and long-standing amateurs were not aware of this requirement.
Btw, freighting or mailing of
antennas is at extra cost.

We very rarely recommend mobile antennas be installed in any base
station situation, due to mobile antennas typically having a higher angle of radiation and lower gain
than most base station antennas.

We have NEVER sold any brackets for mounting mobile antennas onto the metal roofs of buildings and have no intention of ever doing so! We don't recommend such mounting because large ground plane surface areas
force radiation up into a high angle lobe. This effect applies to both transmitted and received signals and
it seems to be most apparent on the higher frequency HF bands (e.g. on the 15m to 10m bands) and on the
6m band where most of the time DX (long distance) signals are received
at relatively low radiation angles.

We have found HF antennas, in particular, should be mounted at
least 2m above any large metal surface area in order to reduce this effect. The larger the ground plane surface area, then the higher almost any antenna should be mounted.

This is less of an issue on the lower
HF bands, such as on the 160m and 80m bands where a large ground
plane surface area is required!
For many reasons, the higher the frequency of operation, the higher
the antenna should be mounted.

Btw, we do sell a Mobile One M270 2m/70cm mobile type fibreglass whip which has an integrated 5/16" brass thread ferrule base. This antenna normally mounts onto a cone shaped base with a 5/16" male thread.
We sell PL-259 (at front of adaptor)
to 5/16" (at rear) for the mounting of 5/16" ferrule mobile antennas onto
SO-239 side-entry sockets.

The FC-40 is a wide-impedance tuning range LONG-WIRE-tuning type automatic antenna tuner.

The FC-40 works with FTDX-101D,(not FTDX-101MP as FC-40 accepts 100W max. RF, not 200W, hi!), FT-891, FT-710 AESS, FTDX-3000D, FTDX-1200 and FT-991/A transceivers, along with all versions of FT-857 and FT-897 transceivers, FT-450 and FT-450D transceivers and also the FT-950 transceiver.

The FC-40 will NOT work with other Yaesu transceivers!

The FC-40 is a microprocessor-controlled antenna high impedance matching network designed for use with all versions of the FT-857 and FT-897 HF/VHF/UHF Transceivers.

The FC-40 makes use of control circuitry inside the transceiver, allowing the operator to monitor and control operation of the FC-40, which mounts near the antenna feed-point. Fully waterproof, the FC-40 may be mounted outdoors in exposed locations and will handle 100 Watts of transmitter power.

The FC-40 will operate across 7 - 54 MHz when using a 2.4m (8 foot) long whip, or across 1.8 - 54 MHz when using a random-length wire longer than 20m (66 feet).

Matching time is typically five seconds or less and the required drive power is 4~60 Watts.

The FC-40 has 200 match-setting-point memories for instant recall of tuning settings.

The FC-50 is a microprocessor controlled automatic antenna tuner and operates only with the FT-891!

The FC-50 will tune coaxial cable fed antennas from the 160m to 6m bands (1.8~54MHz) with up to 3:1 SWR (16~150 ohms) across the 160m~10 bands.
On the 6m band the FC-50 will tune up to 2:1 SWR (25~100 ohms).
Cables are included to enable easy operation with FT-891 transceivers.
The FC-50 accepts up to 100W of RF power and has 100 antenna matching memories.
