The FC-30 is designed to tune coaxial cable fed antennas and for use with FT-857D and FT-897D transceivers.

The FC-30 tuner covers the 1.8-30MHz and 50-54 MHz bands and it  handles up to 100 watts.
 
Maximum allowable antenna SWR is 3:1. Final SWR after tuning is normally 1.5:1 or less.

Tune-up power range recommended is 4 to 60 watts and tuning takes 5 seconds or less.

The FC-30 has 100 impedance matching memories.
 

The FC-40 is a new, wide-impedance tuning range LONG WIRE antenna coupler for the FT-857 and FT-897 series of transceivers.

The FC-40 is a microprocessor-controlled antenna impedance matching network designed for use with all versions of the FT-857 and FT-897 HF/VHF/UHF Transceivers.

The FC-40 makes use of control circuitry inside the transceiver, allowing the operator to monitor and control operation of the FC-40, which mounts near the antenna feed-point. Fully waterproof, the FC-40 may be mounted outdoors in exposed locations and will handle 100 Watts of transmitter power.

The FC-40 will operate across 7 - 54 MHz when using a 2.4m (8 foot) long whip, or across 1.8 - 54 MHz when using a random-length wire longer than 20m (66 feet).

Matching time is typically five seconds or less and the required drive power is 4 - 60 Watts.

The FC-40 has 200 match-setting-point memories for instant recall of tuning settings.

The Andrews FNB-78-ACS is a sealed Ni-MH battery pack with a rating of 13.2V @ 4,500mA/h.

It is designed to fit inside Yaesu FT-897/D transceivers for truly independent portable operation.

A Yaesu FT-897/D will accept internally up to two FNB-78 type batteries. Either battery can then be selected (as either battery "A" or battery "B") to power the radio.

One battery may be charging at the same time the other battery is actually powering the radio.

After charging, each battery may allow up to 4 hours of typical operation, such as; 5% transmitting time, 5% receiving time with audio output and 90% squelched receive.

Operating time may total 8 hours, if employing two batteries in tandem.

A FT-897/D's RF power output is automatically limited to 20W when operating from FNB-78 type battery power.

Yaesu's CD-24 is a fast charging adaptor for fast charging FNB-78 type batteries.

The CD-24 requires either 13.8Vdc at 2.3A via its normal rectangular 6-pin DC socket -or- 24V DC @ 1.2A via its special DC charging socket.

A normal rectangular 6-pin 20A rated DC plug and cable assembly supplying 13.8Vdc (such as used for powering many Yaesu, Icom, Alinco and Kenwood 100W HF transceivers) may be used to fast charge a FNB-78 battery pack via a CD-24.

Yaesu's CD-24 will fully charge a FNB-78 type battery in 4 hours.

Yaesu's PA-26C is a 240vac power supply for use with Yaesu's CD-24 when charging FNB-78 type batteries.
