We import, sell and recommend JA-version multiband Diamond vertical antennas. Those models covering the 2m and 70cm bands (or more) are centred on 145MHz and 435MHz and will cover 144-148MHz and 430-440MHz. The swr at 148MHz is 1.8:1 to 2:1 and we know of no problems ever encountered due to this swr present at the top of 2m. These versions have been conclusively proven over the past 39 years to be best suited to the Australian and New Zealand 2m/70cm band plans. Diamond requires very large minimum order quantities (MOQs) per model of antenna regarding special tuning of any antennas. Alternatively, we can import "A" suffix (USA) version multiband verticals. However, they would be at higher pricing and their delivery timing would require confirmation. They are centred on 146Mhz and 443MHz (i.e. 8MHz higher on 70cm than the centre of the AUS/NZ 70cm band, which is 435MHz). Therefore, they best cover 144-148MHz and 437-450MHz. Diamond V/U multiband base station verticals which are tuned specifically for Australia/NZ band plans simply do not exist! Please note; M socket is the same as a SO-239 socket and a UHF socket. N socket is a combination of a BNC socket and a SO-239 socket, whereby the outer body is based on a SO-239 (for strength) and the inner portion is based on a BNC socket (to maintain low loss at high frequencies). N-type connectors were initially designed as a strengthened form of BNC connector for the military, as BNCs often failed in military service.	Most Diamond products listed on this page are in stock!

Please consider purchasing a commercial RF wattmeter which has a specially designed and calibrated internal amplifier that enables displaying of p.e.p. to very high levels of accuracy. These are known as "true peak reading" wattmeters. Some of the brands of these wattmeters are; Coaxial Dynamics, Bird, Telewave, etc. We do sell commercial RF wattmeters...
