LDG's popular Z-100 economy tuner has metamorphesised into the Z-100Plus. Although very small and simple to use, the Z-100Plus boasts 2000 frequency and tuning parameters. It will operate from any external 7 to 18 Vdc voltage source via its rear panel mounted external DC socket. Note; there is no internally fitted battery tray for installing and using internal batteries. Six external AA batteries may operate the Z100Plus for up to one year under average operating periods! The Z100Plus' current draw whilst tuning is less than 100mA.

The Z-100Plus has an integrated internal frequency counter. The operating frequency is stored, along with tuning parameters, in order to make "memory tunes" a blazingly fast 0.1 seconds! Full tuning cycles take an average of only 6 seconds.

LDG makes a dedicated bolt-on tuner for the Yaesu FT-897 (the AT-897). However, that leaves many Yaesu transceivers without a dedicated LDG tuner available.
Of course, most LDG tuners will work fine with Yaesu radios. However, it would be nice to have an LDG tuner interface with several Yaesu radios
and LDG's new YT-100 does that!

The YT-100 is designed to work ONLY with Yaesu FT857, FT897 and FT-100 (including all D versions) transceivers.

The YT-100 will not work with
any other Yaesu transceivers.

An included CAT cable interfaces with these transceivers, making it an integrated tuner powered via the interface cable.
No extra power cables are needed.
Just press the tune button on the tuner and everything happens automatically; the radio's mode is automatically set to carrier mode, the RF output power is reduced and a tuning cycle commences.
Once tuning is completed the radio is automatically returned to its original settings.

LDG's new RT-100 is a 100W rated coax-type remote antenna tuner. It should be located at, or near, the feedpoint of a coax-fed antenna. Doing so will significantly reduce  overall feedline loss if there is a high swr at the antenna's feedpoint.
The RT-100 will provide a very low swr at the antenna's feedpoint.

The RT-100 can be DC-powered via the centre conductor of coaxial cable. Such DC-powering requires the included LDG RC-100 DC/RF unit. The RC-100 can provide DC power and auto/semi-auto operation, plus lock and forceful manual tune, via the centre conductor of coaxial cable. Includes U-bolt for mounting the RT-100 onto a pipe.

Notes regarding MFJ brand
automatic antenna tuners...

Most MFJ automatic and manual antenna tuners cover 160m~10m and almost all of them have a much wider impedance tuning range than most transceiver manufacturers' automatic
antenna tuners that are designed for use with coax fed antennas!

MFJ has control/interface leads which allow certain models of
MFJ auto antenna tuners to be operated directly from the TUNE button on certain Yaesu SSB transceiver models.
E.g. MFJ-929, MFJ-939Y, MFJ-991B, MFJ-993B and MFJ-998 auto antenna tuners can be operated directly by the TUNE button on FT-857/D and FT-897/D transceivers when connected with an appropriate MFJ control/interface cable. An example is the MFJ-5114Y cable.

• LDG "generic" type automatic antenna tuners are those tuners which will work with almost any amateur radio HF
  or HF/6m transceiver. LDG generic auto tuner models are;
  AT-1000PROII, AT-100PROII, AT-200PROII, AT-600PRO, Z100Plus and Z11PROII
• LDG "model-specific" automatic antenna tuners are those tuners intended for specific brands/models of transceivers
• NO LDG automatic antenna tuner (local or remote type) will auto-tune by pressing the TUNE button on any YAESU transceiver's front panel.
• Many of LDG's PRO series of tuners will work with the FT-991/A radios as a stand-alone tuner. Note that the tune button on the radio will not control the LDG tuner's tuning  function when using any LDG tuner connected to your radio.
• However, if you connect a LDG PRO series tuner to your radio and leave the PRO series tuner in the AUTO-TUNE mode it will auto tune when it detects sufficient RF power! This is a convenient and basic function of LDG's PRO series tuners
• Alternatively, simply use the optional/appropriate YAESU external automatic antenna tuner model (e.g. FC-30, FC-40, etc.) if you wish to auto tune via your Yaesu radio's front panel TUNE button! Note that Yaesu's FC-30 cannot be used with FT-991/A radios!
• Another alternative to consider is MFJ's auto tuners, which we also stock, sell and support

      
Y-ACC cable NOTES

LDG's Y-ACC 12" (30cm) cable interfaces between certain Yaesu radios and LDG generic tuners. It does not supply DC to the tuner.

The Y-ACC cable suits Yaesu FT-857, FT-897, FT-100D, FT-991, FT-991A and FT-891 radios.

Pressing the TUNE button on the tuner changes the mode of the Yaesu radio to CW (this mode change doesn't appear on some Yaesu radios' display) and tuning commences. The Yaesu radio is automatically returned to the previous mode setting when the tuning process is completed. The RF output power is lowered whilst tuning. There is no need to change the RF power output levels before or after tuning.

For FT-991A set menu item 143 (tuner select) to L/AMP (linear amp.) For FT-891 set menu item 16-15 (tuner select) to L/AMP. For both radios use the ALC/REM (remote) jack/socket with the red end connected to the radio.
